See DetailsJDB self-lubricating bearings are a special type of sliding bearing that combines the strength of metal materials with the self-lubricating properties of solid lubricants and is able to work without external lubrication. The following is a detailed description of the material composition and action of JDB self-lubricating bearings produced by Mingxu Machinery:
Basic material composition
Metal matrix:
High-strength brass: This is the most common matrix material with good mechanical strength and hardness, capable of withstanding heavy loads and impacts.
Tin bronze: Sometimes used as a matrix, it also has good wear resistance and strength.
Steel-copper bimetallic: Combines the strength of steel with the self-lubricating properties of copper, suitable for more complex and demanding applications.
Cast iron or bearing steel: In some special applications, cast iron or bearing steel may also be used as a matrix material.
Solid lubricant:
Graphite (SL1): Suitable for atmospheric environments, graphite has good lubrication properties and chemical stability.
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) + molybdenum disulfide (SL4): Suitable for underwater or seawater conditions, PTFE provides extremely low friction coefficients, while molybdenum disulfide provides additional lubrication performance under heavy load conditions.
Mechanism of action
The working principle of JDB self-lubricating bearings lies in the slow release of solid lubricants. During the operation of the bearing, the friction between the metal matrix and the mating parts causes tiny solid lubricant particles to fall off the surface of the matrix, forming a lubricating film. This film reduces the direct contact between the metals, thereby reducing friction and wear.
Product Features
High load capacity: The metal matrix ensures that the bearing can withstand heavy loads.
Self-lubricating performance: The use of solid lubricants allows the bearing to still work normally in the absence of conventional lubrication.
Wide applicability: Different types of solid lubricants enable JDB bearings to adapt to different working environments, including atmospheric environments, underwater or seawater conditions.
Low maintenance requirements: Due to the self-lubricating properties, JDB bearings require almost no additional lubrication during use, reducing maintenance costs and time.
Long life: The continuous release of solid lubricants and the strength of the metal matrix work together to give JDB bearings a long service life.
Due to its unique advantages, Mingxu Machinery recommends JDB self-lubricating bearings to be widely used in situations with heavy loads, low speeds, difficult to lubricate or that require working under special environmental conditions, such as engineering machinery, hydraulic facilities, plastic machinery, and automobiles. industry, wind power generation equipment, etc.
